What is a GPT site?

Put simply a GPT site is a website where you can 'Get Paid To' do simple things like taking part in surveys, looking at free offers, joining up for free trials and even for referring your friends to the site, amongst other things.

People often get these GPT sites confused with survey sites, and whilst surveys do form part of these sites, they make up a fairly small part of it. GPT sites can also be known as paid to surf sites or paid to click (PTC) sites.

These sites are 100% free to join and will never cost you a thing. The minimum age requirement to sign up is 13yrs old, so it is great for kids to fill in some time and earn some extra pocket money as well.

The way they work is companies pay the website to place their offers or surveys on the site and when you complete an offer or take one of the surveys, you are credited with a pre-determined amount.

The companies place the offers on the site in the hope that whoever looks at the offer will buy their product. Of course, you do not have to buy anything and are in no way obligated to buy their products, you can simply check out their offer, collect your money and move onto the next offer.


Surveys

A typical survey is worth anywhere between $0.25 and $5.00 for each survey you complete, with the average being around $0.50 to $1.00. Surveys are normally fairly short and the payout for a survey will reflect the length of the survey and the time it takes to complete it.
Surveys could be about anything from beer, makeup, cars, clothing, computers, insurance or anything that a company might be trying to sell.


Offers

Most GPT sites will contain a lot more offers than surveys and with most offers taking less than 1 minute to complete, and paying from $0.25 to $2.00 each, the money can really add up quite quickly.
When completing offers, quite often all that is required is for you to enter your email address, which obviously doesn't take long.


Free Trials

Free trials are where you can really make some great money using GPT sites. These can pay upwards of $15 each with $4 - $8 being the most common. A free trial won't cost you anything for the trial period (usually a month) but once you go over the free period, you will be charged. So the trick to these is to simply cancel the trial before the free period runs out.


Referrals

When you sign up to a GPT site, you are automatically assigned your own unique referral ID. This ID will be automatically placed in links or banners that you can choose to use on your blog, website or forums for example and when people join up through your referral link, you will get a percentage of what they earn.
